Your tasks

As Social Impact Entrepreneur in Residence (m/f/d) you will be responsible for establishing the operational, legal, financial, and organisational foundations of the Changemaker Foundation, an independent non-profit initiative created by KoRo and partners (including KOA) to build fully traceable, sustainable agricultural supply chains and support the transition to diversified agroforestry systems. Embedded within KoRo for an initial 6-12 months, your mission is to turn this initiative into a fully operational, independent organisation ready to scale.

What You Will Do:

  • Business model & financial viability: Validate and develop the funding model, including premiums, grants, partner contributions, and long-term financial sustainability.
  • Agroforestry system development: Assess and refine the diversified agroforestry model, ensuring farmer feasibility, economic viability, scalability, and realistic implementation.
  • Commercial model & scaling: Design the commercial framework in collaboration with KoRo, enabling initial product sourcing and creating a scalable blueprint for onboarding future partners.
  • Traceability & certification: Ensure end-to-end traceability, audit readiness, and alignment with certification and reporting standards.
  • Legal & organizational setup: Define governance, legal structure, compliance, HR setup, contracts, and reporting frameworks.
  • Operations & partnerships: Build the operating model across foundation, farmers, processors, buyers, and manage key partner relationships (including KOA and KoRo stakeholders).
  • Impact measurement: Define KPIs and reporting systems for impact, transparency, and donor requirements.
  • Risk management: Identify key risks and develop mitigation strategies to support strategic decisions.
  • Fundraising & business development: Lead fundraising across grants, donors, and strategic partners, build a pipeline of corporate “changemakers,” and structure commercial participation mechanisms.
  • Team building: Recruit initial team members and prepare the setup for an independent organizational launch.

Success Criteria after 6-12 Months:
  • Foundation fully established and operational as an independent-ready entity
  • Governance and compliance framework defined and implemented
  • Business model validated with first implementation step taken.
  • Funding model confirmed (grants, donors, and/or commercial streams)
  • DAF and traceability model designed and validated with agency and or field expert
  • Operational model defined, including key processes and responsibilities
  • Certification and impact reporting pathway established
